Year 5 and 6 Camp!

     Yay!!
Camp is finally here . First of all we all gather together and have a meeting .Our first activity was camp cooking. The boys cook damper and the girls cook scones or cookies . At 11:00 we had morning tea , we had   one piece of fruit and 2 cookies .


      Activity 2 was table tennis and roller skating.WE all enjoyed skating but not the part when we fell over . It was so embarrassing . I really love year 5 and 6 camp.

Thursday Weekly Writing

    

On Thursdays we have our wonderful art teacher Ms.Muliaumasealii  for 1 hour.She is so creative and fun to work with. One of our projects we are doing with her is our vision board.

At the end of the day my favorite thing to is to play on my bike.I really like riding my bike but then I don’t like falling over.It really hurts.

CROSS COUNTRY!!!!!

As soon  as the bell rang, I started jumping up and down. Screaming in a happy way I was so excited. I sprinted  inside ,then  quickly and nervously got changed into my Takitimu coloured T-Shirt.
  
   When I  got to the courts I sat down and after a few minutes we headed down to the reserve. Hearing the three words READY, SET, GO, I sprinted off keeping at one pace. Passing the bridge I  saw the 8 yr old girls just 2 minutes away from the little bridge .
    With senior kids cheering me  on it made me feel awesome.
  Reaching the 1k line  I had a very big smile. I started slowing down and so did my arms and legs. At that point I was walking. I was not happy so kept telling my self finish that race, finish that race, finish that race. With burning lungs I tiredly wanted to finish the race  off properly. So with a burst of speed I sprinted tiredly to the finish line.
My favorite part about cross country is the running, but who knows I might hate it one day.

Yay Its swimming!!!!!

Hello every body.
This is a post about my swimming and what we have been doing
in the past few weeks. I hope you enjoy my movie.

Finally arriving at the pools I quickly got changed and had a shower .On entering the pool Mrs.squires said “group 1 will be in the pool first “.I was not happy. After waiting for minutes we got to go in the pool.

With a powerful kick I submerged under the  water .Gilding gracefully I said to myself “I can make it “.Exhausted and  drained Mrs.Squires said I want you to please do one more lap”.I was so tired after that.

Immersion Assembly

As quickly as I could I sat down next to my friend to watch the performances.After waiting to see team 5 performance It started. All I could see were all the teachers in team 5 spraying Mrs. Nua's hair,and I heard her say, "Are you sure I came to the right salon?" Mr.Barks replied, "Yeah yeah you came to the right salon, trust me you did".
Then Mrs Lagitupu pulled out a variety of different cutting tools and I remember Mr.Harris had a carving knife but then he put it back on the table. He cut one hair off Mrs.Nua's head and they tried to dry her hair with a leaf The reason why like team 5 Is because I liked the rap.

My other favorite team was team 3 because of Miss Burns' big eyes. They were all dressed as mad scientists. Then all you could see was Miss Lavakula and Mrs Barks tossing a multitude of ingredients into a beaker and out popped some soap,(Miss Walters).Then out of nowhere Miss Lavakuala sang her rap to Baby, Baby, Wash your hands. After that they just picked up there bottles and started to spray water on us.Team three was so funny.

Easter Holiday

For my awesome Easter holiday we celebrated my brother Kane's birthday. We celebrated it by going to his favourite restaurant but I don't know what it's called. I remember that restaurant because you get to choose anything you want and you cook it yourself.So to start it of I had two chicken nibbles and a water.Then I waited.

After waiting for so long I finally got to eat my steak with rice .Then we got some more food to cook. It was good because my cousin and auntie Hilda came over from Australia. (Soon my auntie and I will be visiting them.) My mum said, "You are a good waitress," because she said that I was a good helper. So then we payed and went to my aunty's .


Arriving at my aunty's house I zoomed up the stairs ,and asked my auntie "Did you make your truffles?" She replied "Yes. Yes I did ".
Finally finishing setting the table I sat down on the chair. Very quietly trying to sneak a truffle I got caught by my brother trying to eat one , so then I had to go down stairs where the adults could see if I was going to the truffles. Then we had to sing the happy birthday song to my brother. When we finished I was aiming to eat the truffle first, and I did.


Finally arriving at home I went to sleep straight away because I had a sore stomach.
I thought that my brother Kane's birthday was the best one we celebrated because my family from Aussie ,and Hamilton came over to celebrate his 14Th birthday.
I had the best holiday ever.

AwesomeTime at Skateland

With excitement I put on my rollerblades, but unfortunately while heading over to the rink I had a tremendous fall. As soon as I entered the rink I clutched on to Jay-lee. She taught me how to skate .


Suddenly I saw my whole team lining up for the limbo. I didn’t want to participate.I said to my self “I’m going to practice and practice. Coming out of nowhere Ramona said, “Jorja watch out I’m going to crash in to you.” Luckily I swerved around her.


Heading out of the rink to have a rest I heard Mr Marks shout, “We're having the racing competition”. When they lined up I shouted “ Go Jay-Lee”
I was happy because we got 30 more minutes to play then we headed over to play squash. I love skating.

Finally the day comes

On a bright beautiful day we had a school picnic.I was so excited.First we had to go to the hall for 10 minutes just to check if every body had lunch and hats.Then we started walking to Pt.England reserve.

On the way there I was thinking about what I was going to do when I got there. Until my tummy rumbled then my friend ‘s tummy rumbled .We wanted to eat.

Excitingly running down to the beach I saw my friend Jonita with a heck of a lot of crabs. There were big ,medium,really tiny and massive crabs. I wanted to help them find some crabs so I began my hunt. I only found baby crabs .

After a tiring hunt I saw my other friend Tyla-marie playing with a clay cannon ball.It looked like cement .I wanted to make one so I did. It was hard because it was under deep sand and it was crowded.It felt like play dough but hard play dough.

later on the day we had a few sack races I kept on losing because I was laughing a lot .then we had a dance competition vs.the boys. I’ve course we won we are better then those boy’s. To make thing’s a little thing’s funny Mr.Jacobson done karaoke then we had to pack up and end the best day ever.

Finally Its camp time!

Finally getting back from camp we went in the hall to grab our bag's .When I grabbed my bag It was like my arm was going to break off .I remember hearing my mum say at home "have you got your whole wardrobe in here".I hardly had any clothes .I was sleeping with my favorite friend's Jonita,and Tyla-Marie.My team leaders were Jaylie and Max I was in the Super chargers ,we also had a concert but we didn't win or come seconds or third. My favorite part about camp Is going to skate land.Even though I didn't know how to skate my friends taught me I think I'm good at skating and I got to say the cook's were good at cooking the food was Delicious.I LOVE CAMP!
