Starry Starry Night
`
A long long time ago in 1889 Starry Starry Night was painted, by the artist Vincent Van Gogh. The size of Starry Starry Night is 73 x 92 cm the same size and medium of the sunflowers.
In the foreground of Starry Starry Night is a small peaceful village and a curving cypress tree. Above this dark sleepy village is a swirling sky, which forms the background with the bright shining stars.Showing the sunset there is a wave of yellow , blended with the blue sky behind the rolling hills.
In Van Gogh's Starry Starry Night the main color is blue, but the color yellow makes it standout. The village is dark and peaceful but with a tiny bit of yellow , it brightens it up. In the exaggerated sky both colors yellow and blue are used to create the swirl.
This painting Starry Starry Night is a fabulous piece of art.I reckon and probably think that Vincent painted it for a reason.I was thinking if he painted it because he was trying to tell us that there is life and death.THe light in the window What was his message?
Even though Vincent Van Gogh is not with us now we will still remember him
by his famous paintings which are Starry Starry Night , Sunflowers and many other paintingsTuesday, May 15, 2012

Swimming
Guess what!!! This term my class have been going to the Y.M.C.A Aquatic Center for swimming lessons.
Hearing Ms .Garden announce on the speaker that we were going swimming I rushed to the gate.As we made our way to the pool our plastic bags made a rustling noise.Arriving at the pools I quickly got changed and had a shower.
As fast as I could I quickly hopped into the pool feeling cold. We started swimming of by doing a test. It was to tell us what group we were in.Happily I jumped up and down because I was in group 3.
After we had finished our test my swimming instructor said” slip into the pool and we will get started.”.When we were in the pool , we started of by doing
Brain goggle cheek. We did 2 laps of that and 2 laps of freestyle.
After that we had a competition . It was to see how far we could go without stopping or breathing. Jonita stopped at the halfway point but Isara stopped at one and a half point.
Later on we all hopped out of the pool and got changed. When we had finished we headed back to school. While I was walking I said to myself”how fun was that”.

Vincent Van Gogh's Sunflowers
This extremely famous picture was painted by Vincent Van Gogh in 1888.The size of this painting is 73 x 92 cm , it is called Sunflowers . Van Gogh used oil paint to create this famous piece of art.
Vincent had painted many Sunflowers .He used lovely bright colours such as yellow , green , orange , red, and a little bit of brown. He used bright colours like this because they must have made him happy.
In most of Vincent Van Gogh’s paintings he has bumpy strokes. If you were to feel his painting it would be rough. Taking a close look at his Sunflower painting, you can see his brushstrokes. Vincent’s used alot of paint in his paintings, sometimes he just grabbed a knife and slapped it on the canvas.
When I look at Van Gogh’s painting I am amazed, because I can see the brush strokes. In the painting mostly all the sunflowers are dieing. I really love all his flower paintings especially his Irises.
This famous artist Vincent Van Gogh painted the sunflowers for a reason. It was because he bought a little yellow house and his friend Paul Gauguin was going to visted . He wanted to decorate the yellow room that Paul Gauguin was going to stay in with bright colours. So he painted 4 sunflowers .
Well this is the end of my story.I hope you all enjoyed reading.Enjoy the information !!
